Today we continued to review for the test. We reviewed the essentials of quadratics, how to read the equations, how to write them, and how to graph parabolas. We also continued to work on the study guide. All handouts given in class are on the Google Classroom. The test is this Friday.

We got new seats today in math, and we worked on a study guide and a problem set to review for the quiz/test. All of these sheets are on the google classroom, I believe the code is ilmim5, if you are not in the class. The quiz/test is this Friday, it will cover all quadratics we have learned. Tomorrow, we will be working on another problem sheet to prepare. The way Andrew will score the quiz/test is as followed, if you wish to re-do any missed problems you can provide a corrected written explanation and receive 3/4 of the points you could have earned back. You will not be able to retake the whole quiz/test.
We had no math today due to SLCs. We will be cooking with our ovens tomorrow. Here is a math joke, what do baby parabolas drink? Quadratic Formula!
Today in math we continued to work on our solar ovens. They were due today, we will cook with them on Thursday. Be sure to fill out your SLC paper in math. Our test is next Friday, don't forget to pick up a study guide from Andrew. We will be reviewing all of next week!
In math we worked on SLC forms. The forms had reflective questions for everyone to fill out. Be sure to have a parent sign the slip. I believe the parabolic solar ovens will be tested Wednesday, so plan accordingly. There is going to be a math test soon, be sure to grab a study guide from Andrew.
Today in math we worked on our parabolic solar ovens. The "skeleton" without mylar was expected to be done today. We will be adding mylar tomorrow, and our goal is to test the ovens on Friday. There is going to be a quadratics test next Friday, so be sure to grab a study guide from Andrew!
Today in math we worked on our parabolic ovens. I will find out upcoming due dates tomorrow, as I was not able to attend of class today.
Today in math we finished up worksheets and began working on study guides. The worksheets due are the foiling/factoring worksheets, vertex form sheet, and advanced quadratics sheet. We will be having a test not this Friday, but next Friday. Andrew has study guides to help study for the test.
Today in math we worked on both oven models, and worksheets. The foiling/factoring skill checks are due. The quadratics/vertex form sheet is due also. Due Friday, is the advance quadratics sheet. In October there is going to be a test on Quadratics. There is info about this on the Google Classroom. Our models are due tomorrow. Do not forget to bring cardboard!!!
Today in math we continued to work on our solar ovens. The scale models are due tomorrow. After the solar oven models are done, you can add mylar to test it. For the actual-size ovens, be sure to BRING IN YOUR OWN CARDBOARD!!!!
It is also encouraged to finish the vertex-form homework and foiling/factor tests. |
